Project Hub
Get an at-a-glance view of your production's progress, catch up on recent activity, and jump to any part of your project from a single landing page.
Overview
The Project Hub is the landing page for every production in Genvid. When you open a project, you arrive here first. It gives you:
- At-a-glance production metrics — approval progress, pending reviews, new generations, and budget usage in a row of stat cards
- Your Dailies — an activity feed of recent events across the production
- Project Sections — quick links into each working area of your project
Who Can Use This Feature
Every team member with access to a project can open its Project Hub and see the stat cards, the Dailies feed, and the Project Sections list. What you can do once you follow a section link (for example, editing budgets or approving shots) depends on your role and assignments. See the User Management guide for how roles work.
Accessing the Project Hub
From the Home Page
- Log in to Genvid
- On the home page, find the project you want to work on
- Click the project card to open its Project Hub
From a Pending Review
- On the home page, open your list of pending reviews
- Click through to a project to land on its Project Hub
The Stat Cards
A row of cards at the top of the Project Hub summarizes the state of your production:
| Card | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Shots Approved | How many shots are approved out of the total, with a breakdown of how many are in review and in progress |
| Pending Review | The total number of items awaiting review, broken down by type (for example, keyframes and videos) |
| New Generations | How many new generations have completed since your last visit |
| Budget | Amount spent against the total project budget, with the percentage used |
Your Dailies
The Your Dailies feed lists recent activity on your production — generations, approvals, assignments, and other events — newest first.
- Use the All events dropdown to filter the feed to a specific kind of event.
- Before any activity has occurred, the feed shows an empty-state message: "No activity yet — Events will appear here as your production gets underway."
Project Sections
The Project Sections list is how you navigate into the working areas of your project. Each entry shows a short summary line and a chevron; click one to open that section:
| Section | What You Do There |
|---|---|
| Shot List | Review every shot in the production and its media and budget status (described below) |
| Asset Status | Manage cast, locations, props, and other assets — see the Asset Manager guide |
| Team & Assignments | Assign assets and shots to team members and track their status — see the Assignments guide |
| Budget & Analytics | Set budgets and review cost reports — see the Budget Management guide |
| Production Settings | Configure project-level settings |
Switching Sections with the Breadcrumb
Once you are inside a section, the section name in the breadcrumb at the top of the page is a dropdown menu. Click it to jump directly to any other area of the project — Project Hub, Screenplay, Assets, Storyboard, Dialog, Videos, Timeline, Shot List, Team & Assignments, Budget & Analytics, or Production Settings — without returning to the Hub first.
The Shot List Section
The Shot List replaces the old shot-status table. It gives you a per-shot view of production progress, grouped by scene.
Reading the Shot List
Shots are grouped under scene headings (for example, "Scene 1 — CYBERPUNK ROOFTOP - NIGHT"). Each shot is a row with these columns:
| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| (Thumbnail) | A preview image for the shot |
| Shot # | The shot identifier (sortable) |
| Description | The action line plus the shot's first line of dialog |
| Size | The shot size as a chip (for example, WS for a wide shot) |
| Angle | The camera angle (for example, EYE LEVEL) |
| Movement | The camera movement (for example, STATIC) |
| Status | The shot's workflow status (Approved, Not Started, and so on) |
| Media | Chips for keyframes, dialog, and video with counts, showing which media is approved |
| Budget | Spending against the shot's budget (for example, "$4.66 / $22.00"); hover for a tooltip such as "Within budget - 21% used" |
| Actions | Shortcuts into the tools for this shot (see below) |
Shot Actions
The Actions menu on each shot links you straight to the right tool:
- View in storyboard — open the shot in the Storyboard
- Workflow status history — review how the shot's status has changed over time
- View provenance graph — see how the shot's media was generated
- Open in keyframe editor — compose the shot's keyframe in the Keyframe Editor
- Open in dialog manager — manage the shot's dialog in the Dialog Editor
- Open in video editor — generate the shot's video in the Video Editor
Sorting and Pagination
- Click the Shot # column header to change the sort order.
- Use the pagination controls at the bottom to page through long shot lists; the Rows per page control defaults to 25.
Where Did Cost Analytics Go?
Cost reports that used to live on the project dashboard now live on the Budget Manager page, reached through Budget & Analytics. There you can run reports by asset, shot, artist, or model, filter by date, and export to CSV. See the Budget Management guide for details.
